Zabava / Tekstovi pesama - Lyrics / Lyrics--Solomon Burke--Fast Train

Well you've been on a fast train and it's going off the rails And you can't come back, can't come back together again And you start breaking down In the pouring rain Well you've been on a fast train
When your lover has gone away don't it make you feel so sad And you go on a journey way into the land And you start breakind down 'Cos you're under the strain And you jump on a fast train
You had to go on the lam and you stepped into on-man's land Ain't nobody here on your waveband Ain't nobody gonna give you a helping hand And you start breaking down And just go into the sound When you hear that fast train
And you keep moving on to the sound of the wheels And deep inside your heart you really know, oh, just how it feels And you start breaking down and go into the pain Keep on moving on a fast train
You're way over the line, next thing you're out of your mind And you're out of your depth, in throught the window she crept Oh there's nowhere to go in the sleet and the snow Just keep on moving on a fast train
You had to go on the lam stepping in no-man's land Ain't nobody here on your waveband Nobody even gonna lend you a helping hand Oh and you are so alone, can you really make it on your own Keep on moving on a fast train
Oh, going nowhere, except on a fast train Oh, trying to get away from the past Oh, keep on moving, keep on moving on a fast train Going nowhere across the desert sand, through the barren waste On a fast train going nowhere On a fast train going nowhere

Your list of guitarists is hard to dispute. I had good fortune to attend one of Stevie Ray Vaughn's last concerts and have seen/heard Eric Clapton. I find these two to be "superheros."
In my youth, I left my town near Harrisburg and headed for the Woodstock concert with three other guys. Drove north in a car and made it to New York (state, not city). We heard from others that there was as 5 mile traffic jam there, so we stopped at a roadside tavern and teamed up with some spirited ladies and drank beer, in mass quantities. We got fired up, and it was a most memorable occasion, but we never did get to the concert of the century.

Hello. There is a young lady in Serbia who does folk with real class. Her name is Danica Krstic. She has a website where she shares her music. Eminently respectable and pleasant.
Also, I know it is another country, but does anyone have any connections in Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herezogovina? I just have not been successful in getting through to music distributors there. I would like to have a copy of Lejla Jusic's CD. I think is is titled "Oh, love." Impossible to get here in USA and when I once tried to download it from BiH, I was the victim of identity theft. I know, most stupid of me. Any suggestions?

Question. Maybe it's here and I missed it. Can anyone provide lyrics for Bilja Krstic's "Jano Svedalino"? On Tarpos CD. Incidentally, her rendition of Jovano, Jovanke is my favorite presentation of this old song. Postovanje, Wayne

I also like very much Tea Hodzic and her sister Mirella, now living in the UK. Folk and pop ... bring it on. I grew up in Steelton, Pennsylvania. Many people around here in the 1900-1915 period came from Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, and some from Slovenia and Bosnia, mostly to work in the steel mill. 3rd generation grew up after WWII, many friends here, my generation. There is a group, Play, SVIRAJ, here in town with a website. Google them up. You'll like it.
I can understand you, can read better than speak, but know enough to appreciate the music. If I translate it once, I tend to remember "the drift." Can order pivo and hrano and find the taxi. JWH

Hello. One of the USA who appreciates an Ex-Yu music. My Croatian is very weak. This website is good. My favorites: Doris Dragovic, Radojka Sverko, Maja Blagdan, Jasna Gospic, and Jelena Rozga. From Sirbija, herbs, Krstic, and Macedonian Ruze w / Anjdriana Janevski, and from Bosnia, Elvira Rahic. Group = Good Magazine and New Fossils. That's Just My Tastes, but I think the best music in the world comes from your region. Your website is very helpful.
Respect, JWH
